F1 Academy Barcelona Weekend Round Up

F1 Academy returned to the race track this weekend in Barcelona for Round 3 of the championship.

The weekend started with Free Practice One on Friday with Rodin Motorsport's Abbi Pulling topping the timesheets with 1:42.474. Closely followed by ART's Bianca Bustamante in P2 with an identical time and Hamda Al Qubaisi in the MP Motorsport in P3.

For F1 Academy both Race 1 and Race 2 are 16 laps covering 74.8km.

The Barcelona F1 Academy had two different races Abbi Pulling won Race 1 and Chambers won Race 2. After the weekend Abbi Pulling is still leading the championship with 147 points ahead of both Pin and Chamber who both have 81 points.

Qualifying

Qualifying in F1 Academy is 30 minutes long and decides the starting grid for both Race 1 and Race 2. Each driver's fastest lap sets the grid for Race 1 and the driver's second fastest laps will set the order for Race 2. At the Barcelona GP.

Qualifying of the F1 Academy 2024 Barcelona GP saw Pulling gain her third and fourth pole positions of the 2024 season. She started Race 1 and 2 from the P1 spot. For the rest of the field Chambers and Martí will began in P2 and P3. The top two spots will remained unchanged for Race 2 but Pin will began from P3 instead of Martí.
