McLaren's Lando Norris took the top spot on Day 1 of pre-season testing at the Bahrain International Circuit, finishing fastest overall on Wednesday, with a lap time of 1:30.430. It would be a long day of testing action with a four-hour session in both the morning and afternoon, giving drivers and teams a chance to see their 2025 cars on track for the first time. The track conditions were slightly in favour of the afternoon session drivers, as it had cooled down and was slightly faster, with the track continuing to ramp up throughout the morning session.
