Danish Haas F1 driver Kevin Magnussen is set to miss Friday's action in Sao Paulo due to illness the team have confirmed. Magnussen would be set to race this weekend as he is a part of the 2024 lineup with Nico Hulkenberg but after suffering from sickness, her will be rep[laced by Oliver Bearman for Friday's free practice 1 and sprint qualifying sessions. It is unclear as to whether Magnussen will return to action this weekend but he will be assessed by his medical team that are giving him full support to ensure he is able to compete throughout the rest of the weekend. Magnussen, 32, will be replaced by official Haas reserve driver Oliver Bearman, who will be racing with the team full time in 2025. It was Bearman who replaced Magnussen when the Danish driver was serving a race ban in Baku back in September. Bearman has become the firs Formula 1 driver to score points in their first two Formula 1 Grand Prix and having raced for two different teams. In an official statement, Haas F1 Team said: "MoneyGram Haas F1 Team driver Kevin Magnussen will not participate in Friday's track running at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix after suffering with sickness. "Official reserve driver Oliver Bearman will take over driving duties. The team wishes Kevin a quick recovery and will provide a further update in due course." Track action will be begin on Friday with free practice and sprint qualifying will conclude the day's action. For the second time in 2024, Oliver Bearman will partner Nico Hulkenberg at Haas in place of Kevin Magnussen. Brandon Whiteside
