Antonelli gets us on the way with a rolling start and with clear visability he starts distancing himself from the rest of the pack as Ollie Bearman picks up front wing damage as he battles Crawford and Bortoleto for p4.

Antonelli enters the final lap seven second clear of Maloney ahead of the ultimate teammate battle as Maini struggles to hold of Bortoleto who goes round the outside in the final corner to take p3 only meters before the line!.

Perfect day for Isack Hadjar as the french man secures pole at Silverstone following his F1 FP1 outing in place on Sergio Perez.

Hadjar starts Saturday's feature race a head of Victor Martins and Dennis Hauger while championship leader Paul Aron will start down in p12 for the sprint and feature race, with only 9 points separating the pair.

Ollie Bearman, signed for Haas in 2025, has eyes on a home podium qualifying in 5th but O'Sullivan has his work cut out from in 14th. 

The weather could change it all as rain is predicted throughout the weekend.

Formula 2 practice gets on the way with rain on the way, track temperature of 27.9 degrees celsius.

Paul Aron making his mark as championship leader, being the first to go under the two minute mark with in the first 10 minutes, in wet tyres. British driver Zak O'Sullivan just putting it in p2 recording an identical time of 1:59.884, to DAMS Jak Crawford, first.

A glimmer of hope for the home crowd as British driver Ollie Bearman had a brief stint out front with 1:59.474, eventually being the time that placed him in fourth by the end of the session. As Dursken, Marti and Barnard go faster in the final 10 minutes.

A hand full of drivers attempted to face the track on hard tyres but no quite dry as O'Sullivan and Marti found out soon enough sending it across the gravel at stowe to intorduce a late yellow flag.

30 minutes session as 22 drivers have eyes on pole in much drier conditions compared to free practice, but with formula 3 experiencing rain and potentially more rain on the way these first few laps were crucial. The soft tyres being the majority with the fastest time consistently improving as Hauger's original time was swiftly bettered by Maini, Maloney and Bearman.

On his second time round Aron finally set 1:40.181 to go fastest, with Maini, O’Sullivan, Maloney and Hauger filling out the top 5 spots before going into the pits for tyre changes.

Aron looked likely to secure pole today until a spin on track in the final 10 minutes of the session, ruining his chances. 

The drivers began their final laps with Hadjar knocking Aron off top spot, with the Estonian dropping down the order as more final laps were completed leaving him in 12th just outside of the chance to start the sprint race in reverse grid pole.
