© Formula 2 How the sprint panned outBoth Prema drivers (Bearman and Antonelli) had grid penalties. This resulted in Bearman starting down in 8th with a 5 place grid penalty, and Antonelli starting down in 15th due to a 10 place grid penalty carried on from the last round out in Belgium. Lap 1 Zak O'Sullivan makes contact with Oliver Goethe, causing Goethe to go into the barrier. Because of the collision between the two drivers, it caused Kimi Antonelli to lock up and hit into the rear of O'Sullivan which resulted in him losing his front wing and having a front tire puncture. The safety car was quickly deployed. Antonelli was able to continue and drag his car back to the pits, getting a new front wing and equipping super soft tires. O'Sullivan however, stopped his car on the side of the track as it had shut down due to the collision detector. Lap 3 The safety car ends and racing conditions resume. Bearman is now up in 3rd, and Fittipaldi retakes the lead. Lap 5 Ollie Bearman goes wheel to wheel with Victor Martins at Curva Grande, and makes his way up into 2nd Lap 7 Bearman sets the fastest lap of the race as he crosses the line. Marti is forced to take the escape road into turn one which allows Ollie to take the lead of the race. Amaury Cordeel and Jak Crawford make contact with one another which caused Cordeel's endplate to come off, he continued with no problems. Lap 13 Joshua Durksen and Enzo Fittipaldio go wheel to wheel for the final podium position, Durksen stays ahead. Lap 19 Zane Maloney and Paul Aron make contact at turn one. This causes the endplate of Aron to come off. He then drops down to 9th before continuing to drop down the order. He the pits to change his front wing. Lap 21 (Final lap) Aron exits the pits with his new front wing. Bearman crosses the line to finish 1st, followed by Martins (Who sets the fastest lap) and Durksen who hasn't been on the podium at all this season. Full Sprint Race results1) Ollie Bearman

© Formula 2 Several drivers struggled throughout today's qualifying session in Monza, resulting in two red flags and plenty of action. Oliver Goethe, who has stepped up for recent Formula One graduate Franco Colapinto, continued to struggle adapting to the car and the circuit. As he was about to begin his first flying lap, he went wide into turn one, forcing him to take the escape road. Even as the session continued, Goethe still struggled, spinning on the circuit as a result of going wide into turn two. Isack Hadjar was complaining on the radio after being impeded by Stanek. He was noted for the impeding, but it is unsure whether any action has been taken on the incident. The first red flag came out due to lots of debris on the track joined by a polystyrene board. This was caused by Victor Martins going wide through a gravel trap between the two Lesmos. The session resumed a few minutes later after the conditions were suitable enough for the drivers. Due to this red flag however, 3 minutes was deleted off of the clock because of Formula One FP2 taking place not long after the Qualifying session. Not long after the session was resumed, championship contender Gabriel Bortoletto went into the gravel which resulted in the second red flag of the session. After four minutes, the session resumed once again with only 10 minutes remaining on the clock. 5 minutes remained on the clock, and the majority of the drivers opted to continue building tyre temperature rather than setting lap times. Not long after, with only 3 minutes remaining of Qualifying, drivers began putting times on the board. Championship leader Isack Hadjar set the fastest sector one and continued to fly throughout the rest of the lap, resulting in him taking provisional pole with a time of 1:32:249. Maloney then crossed the line moments later to steal provisional pole from Hadjar with a spectacular time of 1:32:160. As the rest of the drivers cross the line, they are unable to beat Maloney's time, resulting in The Boy from Barbados taking his maiden pole position. Stanek, who appeared to be having car issues, pulled over at the side of the track just before the Ascari Chicane which caused a yellow flag. Just one minute after the yellow flag was waved, the red flag was brought out which brung an end to the session. Stanek remained in the pits for the first 20 minutes of the practice session with mechanics surrounding the vehicle. It was speculated that there was some sort of issue with the car, which eventually led to him having to pull over during which would be his final flying lap. Due to this, the session came to an early finish which saw Zane Maloney top of the time sheet. However, Stanek wasn't the only driver which struggled during the session. Several drivers, including home hero Kimi Antonelli, were spotted having to take the escape road into turn one. Antonelli and several others also had their lap times deleted due to track limits caused by going wide at the Ascari Chicane. Even though lap times were deleted, a few of them ended up being reinstated.
