Red Flag in Practice sees Rodin Motorsport's Zane Maloney top of the time sheet.

A red flag in the practice session was caused by Trident's Roman Stanek with only two minutes remaning of the session. Stanek, who appeared to be having car issues, pulled over at the side of the track just before the Ascari Chicane which caused a yellow flag. Just one minute after the yellow flag was waved, the red flag was brought out which brung an end to the session.

Stanek remained in the pits for the first 20 minutes of the practice session with mechanics surrounding the vehicle. It was speculated that there was some sort of issue with the car, which eventually led to him having to pull over during which would be his final flying lap. Due to this, the session came to an early finish which saw Zane Maloney top of the time sheet.

However, Stanek wasn't the only driver which struggled during the session. Several drivers, including home hero Kimi Antonelli, were spotted having to take the escape road into turn one. Antonelli and several others also had their lap times deleted due to track limits caused by going wide at the Ascari Chicane. Even though lap times were deleted, a few of them ended up being reinstated.
