Toyota Gazoo Academy star, Ritomo Miyata, well endure a second season of the FIA Formula 2 Championship as he has signed for ART Grand Prix to compete in the 2025 Formula 2 campaign - the team announced on Tuesday. Miyata has already endured one season in the FIA Formula 2 Championship, which was the most recent of 2024 where he was driving for Rodin Motorsport and has given himself a go at open-wheel racing in the top feeder series championship and what is considered to be the final stepping stone before Formula 1. The 25-year old is more from an endurance racing background and has competed in the 2023 and 2024 FIA World Endurance Championships previously in the LMP2 class and has acted as a reserve driver for the LMP1 class Toyota Gazoo Racing. This was all while competing full time in FIA Formula 2 at Rodin - partnering now Formula E racer Zane Maloney and for the final round Leonardo Fornaroli. Miyata was confirmed to be part of ART Grand Prix for the 2025 Formula 2 campaign and would be the first one confirmed for ART's lineup with the other driver yet to be confirmed.This was confirmed in the media by ART and Formula 2 on Tuesday morning. On signing with the French outfit, speaking to the media, Miyata said: "I am thrilled to announce that I will be competing in the 2025 FIA Formula 2 season with ART Grand Prix. "I would also like to express my heartfelt thanks to ART Grand Prix for warmly welcoming me into their team. ART Grand Prix is a prestigious team in the world of motorsport, and I feel honoured and excited to compete alongside them as one of their drivers. He will make his ART racing debut at Albert Park in Melbourne, Australia which will be the opening round of the 2025 FIA Formula 2 Championship. Brandon Whiteside
