Van Hoepen takes maiden F3 pole after a late Red Flag

ART Grand Prix's Laurens van Hoepen achieved his first Pole Position in F3 with the fastest lap time of 1:33.935. The Dutch driver finished ahead of his teammate Nikola Tsolov and Leonardo Fornaroli of Trident, who took P3.

How Free Practice Unfolded

Mari Boya started his weekend on the front foot, ending up the quickest for Campos Racing with a 1:34.236 in Practice. The Spanish driver topped the leaderboard ahead of teammates Martinius Stenshorne and Luke Browning, rounding out the top three.

The drivers headed out onto the track after around 15 minutes of the session, with Alex Dunne setting the first time to beat with a 1:34.986.

F3 Qualifying

A late Red Flag ended title contender Luke Browning's qualifying session after he sprang into the barriers early in his final attempt, which ended everyone's session.

​However, Laurens van Hoepen and his teammate Nikola Tsolov benefited heavily, taking Pole and P2 in the qualifying session.​
