DS Penske's Maximilian Gunther was fastest in the session three of pre-season testing in Madrid to complete day two on Wednesday. The German E-Prix winner set the fastest time to complete the second day f running at the Circuit Del Jarama in Madrid after testing was moved there due to the devastating flooding that have occurred at Valencia. It was a positive session three for DS Penske as both Gunther and his teammate Jean-Eric Vergne would also have a top three-finish. Vergne would finish third, behind Kiro Race's Dan Ticktum who would complete session three in second place. In the three-hour session on Wednesday afternoon, it would be Ticktum who would shine as he would have the top spot for most of the session. Early on, it would be he and his teammate David Beckmann in the top two spots early on with Ticktum top of the times. Gunther would beat the time set by Ticktum within the final hour by a narrow margin of 0.031s with Gunther having the time of a 1:28.240. DS Penske and Kiro Race both dominated the session and the STELLANTIS powertrain machines looked very strong indeed and the two teams' drivers took the top four spots as Beckmann would finish in fourth place. The two Mahindra drivers would follow in fifth and sixth, with Nyck De Vries completing the top five in fifth and his teammate Edoardo Mortara in sixth. After his car coming to a stop in session two, Nick Cassidy would finish in seventh place in the afternoon's three-hour session. The Jaguar driver would just be ahead of Lola Cars driver Zane Maloney, who was eighth. Andretti's 2023 Formula E Champion Jake Dennis would end ninth ahead of the second Jaguar car of Mitch Evans.
