Its the last race of the 2023 Formula 3 season and with the championship decided after qualifying the rest of the championship places were still open it almost half the grid and i the race had a theme to day it would be 'all or nothing'

Formula 3 Sprint Race

Before the race even got going Pole man Oliver Goethe's throttle got stuck open and he had to park his ailing Trident car on the end of the pit wall causing another formation lap and ending his race before it started.
Collet there for lines=d up on pole but in his 2nd place grid slot, at lights out Collet lead into turn 1 followed closely by Paul Aron fighting for 2nd in the championship who couldn't get the move done before 3rd place man Jonny Edgar was on his eexhaust pipe going side by side with him and ultimately taking 2nd spot from Aron, followed immediately by 2023 Champion Bortoleto pushing Aron to 4th and on the back foot, but was saved by a safety car for the parked car of Franco Colapinto(sprint race winner) after contact with Saucy.
Lap 4 and they went racing again, Collet ran early and kept the lead out of turn 1, Fornaroli made a great move on Zak O'Sullivan infront of his home could, Boya made a similar move on Saucy for 9th and Mansell & Marti have a great battle round the lap.

Lap 5 and the fight for the podium places was heating up, Bortoleto without the pressure of the championship on his back was loving the freedom to race hard and had a few good looks at Jonny Edgar, who was just to good on the brakes at Monza for the champion. and he fell back into the path of Aron and O'Sullivann who went 3 wide into into turn 1 with Bortoleto the big loser having to take to the gravel which saw Aron upto 3rd and O 'Sullivan in 4th. Bortoleto fell back further and ended the race of Saucy after contact at the Ascari chicane put him into the wall and causing a safety car that came out just seconds after Edgar made a move for the lead and took 1st from Collet ......... all that and its only lap 6.
Lap 9 and they went racing again Collet ade a solid attept to take the kead back but Edgar kept the position, Aron went off at the first corner and dropped to the 11th. The lead swaps between Collet and Edgar every time they enter Turn 1 for a number of laps till Edgar started to pull a gap on the 2nd place man, at the same time Taylor Barnard starts his push for the podium. over taking O'Sullivan for 3rd and Bortoleto had found  his speed again just before another safety car was needed when Montoya was out in the gravel after contact.

On the restart Edgar is top, Collet 2nd Barnard in 3rd,O'Sullivan 4th.. O'Sullivan makes great move into turn 1 and takes both Barnard and Collet to go into 2nd place with 14 laps to go and even gets a pretty good look at Edgar before another Safety car period is needed for the car of Marti who was beached in the gravel and the car of Cohen who was out due to an unrelated incident.and also adding his name to the DNF list was Faria who pulled over at the end of the pit wall, needing to be cleared.
The last safety car period ended and the last flurry of action was brilliantly intense down the whole field, O'Sullivan had another crack at the lead but Edgar was off down the road at the restart, Paul Aron and Mansell over took home driver Fornaroli who dropped to 8th and Collet was all over the back of Barnard at every point of the closing lap but just couldn't find a way past British driver.. Edgar had managed the race brilliantly and really deserved the win, O'Sullivan ended the season in 2nd after a few tough races and Barnard completed the all British Podium at Monza. But Italian fans still had reason to celebrate as Italian team Prema won the F3 Constructors Championship.
