FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem Under Investigation for Interfering with a Race Result!!

It has come to light through the BBC that the FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem is under investigation for possibly interfering with the result of last years Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. A whistle blower has informer the FIA that Ben Suayem used his influence to over turn the 10 second penalty given to Fernando Alonso, returning him to the podium in the official result. 
​The BBC has seen a report made to the Ethics Compliance committee by the whistle blower.

​The whistle blower alleges Ben Sulayem called Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamas bin Isa Al Khalifa - the FIA's vice-president for sport for the Middle East and North Africa region,(who was an official for the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix) and made it clear he thought Alonso's penalty should be revoked. 'Expecting' "the Stewards to over turn their decision".
​ Alonso had been given a 10-second penalty for work done on his car while he was serving a previous five-second penalty. The penalty dropped Alonso off the podium and down to 4th behind George Russell and its removal returned the former World champion to the top 3

​The BBC have confirmed the information with a number of high level figures with in F1 and ones close to the FIA themselves. The Ethics committee is expected to take 4 to 6 months to complete their investigation and issue their report.
