Oscar Piastri signs multi-year contract extension with McLaren

On Wednesday, 20 September, the McLaren Formula 1 team announced that Oscar Piastri will stay with the team for the 2024, 2025 and 2026 seasons.

This announcement has cemented the McLaren Formula 1 team's driver line-up until at least the end of the 2025 season, with Lando Norris also contracted until the end of 2025.

2023 is Oscar's first season with the team, having joined at the start of the year after an eventful multi-year contract announcement in late 2022 moving from Alpine F1 Team.

Oscar has had an impressive F1 rookie season so far with the McLaren Formula 1 team, with 42 points in the first 15 races of the season. He has had five top-10 finishes and his highest finish in P2 in the Sprint race at the Belgium Grand Prix.
